Dear Readers,
I am shocked, no appalled! My wife Lydia, of whom I am quite proud, announced to me yesterday that she was going to North Beach on Lake Champlain to get a free manipedi and a skin rejuvenation treatment at no cost except for the $5.00 entry fee to the park. I couldn't believe that she had to pay $5.00 to get into the park, but then nothing for a fresh, new sexy look. It seems to me that something is very fishy about that arrangement. Thanks to my neighbor Champ and his partner Gertie, whose relationship makes me feel uncomfortable, displaced Gararuffa have a wonderful home in Lake Champlain where they can exercise their freedom to live as they wish, and work hard to contribute to society.
But now I find out, that the
gara
ruffa are working hard everyday to deliver a skin care regime to folks,
but can't even pay for oral hygiene for themselves because they don't
have any health insurance, and no livable wage. The city gets five
dollars
every time a car parks, but the gara ruffa get nothing? People, people,
people! What are you thinking? Cars once more trump life in the water?
I say take your five dollars, put it in your pocket and ride your bike, or walk to the beach. When you get there, your tired feet will get the spa treatment of your dreams. Then, at the end of a sun-filled day...tip the gara ruffa rather than the parking meter......It might start greasing other palms than those of the gas and oil companies.
